Ethiopia is rich in power resources. However, the factory where TCI is located is situated in the remote Afar region. As the national infrastructure of Ethiopia is improving day by day, it was possible to supply electricity to the substation 27 kilometers away from the factory in 2022 to meet the power demand for TCI's production. However, due to the backwardness of local industry, with the strong support of the Ethiopian National Mining Department, the Afar State Government and the power department, TCI plans to connect to the power supply in May 2025. After two years of infrastructure investment and construction, the most important transformer equipment was produced in China and is ready to be shipped to the TCI factory.
